A full format Super 35 CMOS sensor with global shutter is used to capture images, and the companion DigiMag DM-2 recorder can be used remotely or docked on-board the camera. It can record either 10-bit HD or 12-bit RAW data. Depending on the format, the DigiMag DM-2 can record over 3 hours of HD material. Additionally, the 10-bit HD signal can be recorded directly onto any compatible HD recorder, such as the Sony SRW-1. One of the key advantages of the Weisscam HS-2 is that you can immediately review what you’ve shot in HD without having to render it first. Using one of our C-Motion wireless control units, you can literally have the Weisscam HS-2 cued up and ready for playback before the camera operator climbs off the dolly. The HS-2 streams simultaneously in HD and RAW modes via HD-SDI single or dual link. The 12-bit RAW stream can be deBayered live or in post. Bottom line… the Weisscam HS-2 provides cinematographers with the ability to expand creative horizons in both feature film and commercial environments. It’s a camera that can really make a difference in the impact of a production. To
